Sutton Foster is an award-winning performer, dancer and actor who has been featured in eleven Broadway shows, including the revival of Violet - and originated characters in Broadway shows of The Drowsy Chaperone, Little Women, Young Frankenstein, Shrek The Musical, and her Tony Award-winning performance on Anything Goes and Thoroughly Modern Millie. Star Search was her first TV appearance at the age of 15. Then she appeared in Bunheads as well as Psych and also Johnny and the Sprites and Flight of the Conchords. Solo artist Sutton has performed across the country. Sutton has appeared across the country and internationally, as well as together with their musical director Michael Rafter... performing songs from her debut solo CD "Wish" along with her follow up CD "An Evening with Sutton Foster: Live at the Cafe Carlyle." Sutton Foster has appeared on stage at Carnegie Hall, Feinstein's, the Lincoln Center's American Songbook series, Joe's Pub among others. She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in the year 2011 in the form of Ball State University, where she is also advisor and faculty member for the Department of Theatre and Dance. Her new TVLand series, "Younger," created by Darren Star began airing in March 2015.
